V.I.P. activities:
Exclusive lake Garda
A day long cruise with departures from Bardolino/Garda/Gardone/Desenzano will take you on an unforgettable excursion through some of Lake Garda’s most beautiful hidden corners. The private charter boat’s first stop is charming Punta San Vigilio, where you may admire the sixteenth century Villa Guarienti, framed among olive and cypress trees and one of the Veronese Michele Sanmicheli’s masterpieces. The group then heads toward the private island Isola Borghese, enthralling with its splendid Venetian Gothic Revival architecture and the thriving nature of the gardens that circle it. Here you will be greeted by the countess and owner, and then spend a couple of hours sightseeing accompanied by a specialized guide around the estate and in some of the villa’s halls. At the end of the visit there will be a light buffet featuring local products served on the veranda overlooking the lake. The last stop is Sirmione. But before disembarking in the historic downtown area, you will discover a few niches of great historic and artistic value such as: the Grottoes of Catullus, Maria Callas’s villa and the twelfth-century Scaliger Castle that marks the entrance to the city. Lunch will be served on the veranda of a prestigious restaurant overlooking the lake.
Old Timer Tour
Oldtimer tour offers more than just a ride in a vintage car, you can enjoy a fantastic view and a guide style exciting and almost forgotten, only for true lovers. The tour departs directly from the hotel and can be divided in two itineraries.
Strongholds of western garda: we will touch Padenghe cross salò and gardone, driving on a scenic road that will take us through villages and ancient fortresses without ever losing sight of the beauty of the lake.
Towers of south garda: trough the moraine hills of the south garda, across Desenzano, Sirmione, San Martino della Battaglia and Solferino ( famous theaters of some of the bloodiest battles of World War II). Before ending the tour will pass through Borghetto and Castellaro Lagusello, two of the most beautiful and best preserved villages in Italy.
Sailing by ketch
The thrill of sailing on Lake Garda’s last vintage ketch, fully equipped with stereo, bar, and bathroom. After the departure from Peschiera, Bardolino, Garda or Riva del Garda, the sails are hoisted, the motor is switched off and the boat sets sail carried by the wind…the cordage of the sails will emanate smells that are reminiscent of times long gone and evoke the kind of emotions only a fairytale can bring. It is a luxury half or full-day tour including a light buffet and some stops in order to dive into the limpid water of the lake. The sailing itinerary is decided with the customer and depending on the weather conditions of the day.
Rubber-soled shoes are required.
Wine Experience:
Valpolicella wine tasting
On 130 hectares in the heart of the Valpolicella, the estate includes vineyards and fields of cherry and olive trees. The winery is set beside the imposing Palladian villa. The tour starts with the latter, and ends in the fermentation room and the actual wine cellar where oak barrels—among which is a huge nineteenth-century chestnut barrel that belonged to the Italian King Vittorio Emanuele di Savoia—are preserved in a world of silence and darkness. To top it all off, there is a wine tasting in the upstairs room.
