INCENTIVE IN New Caledonia
Isle of Pines
Known as ‘the Jewel of the Pacific’, the Isle of Pines is one of the most spectacular islands in the Pacific. Fringed with white sands, turquoise lagoons water and its signature Araucaria pine trees. It is an evocative and exotic landscape of ancient botany and raw treasure. Just 50 km off the southern tip of the main island, the Isle of Pines can be accessed either by fast ferry or by a short domestic flight from the inner city airport in Nouméa.
The Loyalty Islands
The four raised coral islands, Mare, Tiga, Lifou and Ouvea, lie about 100 km to the east of the mainland. They are all relatively flat with some of the best beaches in the entire South Seas!
World´s largest lagoon & Water activities
Snorkelling: New Caledonia offers a lot of submarine paths in shallow water inhabited by a very diversify flora which makes New Caledonia one of the unforgettable snorkelling spots in the world.
Fishing: New Caledonia’s varied water allows you to enjoy dragnet fishing, fly fishing and cast fishing to name a few.
Scuba Diving: New Caledonia has one of the largest coral reefs in the world. It is an oustanding scuba destination. Average water temperature is 24oc all year and the underwater diversity of the colourful flora will keep you astonished.
Sailing: The sailing season is an all year round with the average temperature between 20 to 23oc so you still can go for a swim. Also the reef provides protection from the sea so you won´t be bothered by huge swells during your trip.
Windsurfing: We organised the 2014 windsurfing world cup and is one of the greatest places to enjoy this sport. The destination offers a great compromise between strong winds, big waves and warm waters.
Kite Surfing: A great place for kitesurfing as well. You will find three different kitesurfing school just in Nouméa.
On the Ground
Golf: New Caledonia counts 4 different golf courses of which 3 are located in Noumea. The South Pacific PGA Open in Tina Golf Club Noumea is now part of the Australian PGA championship making New Caledonia one of the must enjoy golf places in the APAC region. Moreover one of the 18 hole golf courses we have is designed by the world renowned Dye Designs by Cynthia Dye.
Horesriding: New Caledonia is also known as the country of the horse. Indeed with 1 horse for 20 people the island is one of the places in the world where horses are the most present. Moreover the cow-boy culture is part of the New Caledonian folklore. Called stockmen the New Caledonian cow-boys are very good horse riders and rodeo player as well.
